Located in the centre of Whangarei's CBD, our restaurant and cocktail bar offers a cosy yet contemporary dining experience, while our garden bar provides a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
We use fresh local produce, seafood and succulent New Zealand beef & lamb, complemented by a selection of New Zealand and international wines, and a range of beers on tap.

Split was established in 2007 by two brothers, Dan & Karl Marsland, who have an ancestral connection to the Dalmatian coast of Croatia.
After 17 years embodying the values of outstanding hospitality & hard work that were passed down to them, in 2024 the boys handed over the reins to another set of siblings, Gemma and Olly.
Gemma and Olly have over 50 years of combined experience in the hospitality industry and share the same passion for the style of hospitality that you would expect to encounter in a small, Mediterranean village - warm, generous and celebratory!
